Oppressive weather out there. Soup-thick air and nasty storms moving this way. No boating chances until storm front passes, though I still see folks a-bay. While leading a class from Rowan University on Tue. 7/30 we caught and released this cool fish while seining at the dike in B.L. The closest match I could find for it in my Peterson Field Guide of Atlantic Coast Fishes was a species called Spotted Tinselfish. Neither there or on the web showed an exact match for this fish. None had the extreme dorsal fins of this specimen. Any other possibilities?
